Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Golden Voice the second poem off Dedication B4 Graduation is out and there are plenty more that’s coming soon.
Source of power that can’t be neglected
Unless you let it be rejected
And let it be the cause of humiliation
But even then it can be a cry of retaliation
That is so strong that it makes any idea of disgrace
A distant memory that is lost in space
Yet I have never seen you use out of place
And instead seen it used to make thoughts into something that is durable
That can move the minds of others with the potential being innumerable
But what makes it so unique from the others, is not the sound or condition
But the way you use it with control instead of using it wildly for attention
Don’t let people extinguish this ability since it has become a common outbreak
For people to let hate, anger, rage, or other negative thoughts make it shake
And stay in a weakened state until
Either inspiration or depression determines its fate
Just let it shine for the rest of your life and let it reflect you no matter what state
Or experience you have been through since it’s a terrible thing to waste
Your voice no matter if it’s as loud as a diva or as small as someone with a timid taste

Hey everybody No Facade, my first poem from Dedication B4 Graduation is out on my Tumblr page. Check it out if you haven’t already.
Tranquil like an angel, but not 100%
Because we all have that boiling point
Where even sweet, kind patience
Can’t withstand the rapid fire combo
Of soul-shattering despair
And mind-decaying, corruptible hate
With a corrosive aftertaste
Yet I haven’t seen you in that terrible state
But even if I did, I wouldn’t consider you a lost cause
Since everyone was born with indefinite flaws
That should be embraced instead of being quarantined
Like an abomination with lethal, metal paws
But I don’t take your calmness for laziness
Because everything I have seen you do
Is a blend of effort and passion
That is hard to concoct and even harder to maintain
Especially where there is no money to gain
Yet your steel is not stainless
And I know every time we meet
You’re not always at your
Ready for anything, carpe diem, spitfire blazing peak
But your attitude brings more cheer
Than beer and wings when game day appears
And the words you write only gives a clear image
Of the persona you display
But my words are not meant to flatter or exaggerate
I’m just speaking what I see from you
I’m not aiming for a love song or Shakespearian sonnet
But rather a true story from a poet’s point of view
Hey everybody I’m working on my first poetry collection called Dedication before Graduation, which basically talks about the experiences I’ve had and the people I met in college. The first poem from the collection is coming soon, so keep an eye for it on your dashboard.
They say opportunity comes once in a lifetime
But does it come before or after my prime
I’m at that point in my life where I need to find a way to thrive
Yet I have little reason to survive
Rejection after rejection with no success in sight
And my only luxury being a flame’s flickering light
Yet I have a source of motivation
That grants the power of levitation
Over the tendrils of broken hearted depression
And persuaded me to follow my dream with obsession
And to keep going despite the obstacles in my possession
However time goes on with the same effect
And I only obtained stability temporarily
Before I once again become a reject
In the land of the free,
Where everything comes with a fee
Except the air that I breathe
And the light that I see
But now I’m at my limit, physically and mentally
The power that I had is fading
And it seems that me and failure are dating
With little chance of my status upgrading
Yet it all comes down to one thing
Is opportunity right around the corner
Or was it never meant for me?

You were a sweetheart with a hint of lime
Birthday and Valentine Day at the same time
You must get double love
Whether it’s gifts, chocolate, or flowers
Or all the above
I wrote you a rap before
Talking about back in the day
And walking on the right side
Of the hallway
Being the only worry
And doing things calmly
With no hurry
But that got lost in the edge
Of my room’s black hole
Yet the thought hadn’t been forgotten as a whole
I know it’s been years since I last saw you
And I know you’ve been catching friends like a winter flu
Not trying to sound dramatic like a play in middle school
Where the ship sunk, but our talent rose
To what heights, nobody knows
But I remember you much more than the performance of a day
Like the conversations we had and the words you say
Whether it was you singing that James Blunt song
Or us talking about the music of Ricky Rozay
But enough of the past
And how long the days will last
I just want you to know
Despite being a face I rarely see
You will always be in my memory
